Many histories are being talk about today as the present will be written about too and for the upcoming future to be anonymous. In the book Feed by M.T. Anderson the "feed" have affected Titus personality and intelligence. As discussed in class we can all understand that having the feed placed inside their brain, it is doing everything for them. Well, at least making them want things as the advertisement pop up into their own head. Even Titus doesn’t understand how Violet would write and read, for example, he just go "awe". The feed is seriously damaging their brain and making them buys things that they don't even need. On pg. 24 I came upon this statement, "they were wearing these tachyon shorts so you couldn't barely look at them, which were $789.99 according to the feed, and they were on sale for like $699 at the Zone, and could be shipped to the hotel for an additional $78.95, and that was just one great thing that people were wearing." I personally could not believe that a short would cost that much! I mean today society of course everyone wants the most brand new name clothes and even shoes, along with accessories etc. But people don't realized that they are paying too much for the items that they won't even need for maybe, a couple of months later when something new would be invented.

On pg. 96 as Violet and Titus go to the mall they discover the way the mall function. Many parents were rushing in line to get their kids the newest toys. Violet then told Titus that she have been trying to create a customer profile that's so screwed, no one can market to it. When Titus parents agreed to buy him an upcar Titus was actually happy. He was so surprised and happy that his last statement ended with, "...suddenly, I didn't feel stupid anymore." I wonder why he even felt stupid in the first place. Was this his parents way of telling him that he should not be stressed out about the feed or is it their way of getting him to not think about what Violet had said to him about the feed that is messing up their minds? Of course in reality, when everyone first have their license they would want a fancy car that they can drive around.
"They're also waiting to make you want things. Everything we've grown up with...it's all streamlining our personalities so we're easier to sell to...they do these demographic studies that divide everyone up into a few personality types, and then you get ads based on what you're supposedly like. They try to figure out who you are, and to make you conform to one of their types for easy marketing" (p.80-81)
I like this statement a lot because it makes me think about how scary it is that people could be consuming based on their wants, needs and like. It is true that the feed that is implanted into their brain are making them want more and more because of the things they like. Teenagers are the biggest consumer because as we are all young, we tend to want every bit that spark our eyes. Or even those that we see that have them and we aim to get them too. It is pretty much about, "I have it, so you should have it too in order to look cool like me." Marketing today's society based their invention on what will attract people. For example, there are more bright things because bright clothes, shoes, anything you name it stand out more than dark color things. There are so many cars out there in the world that aren't just enough! I think if I have the feed and if there was a chatting thing in it, I would chat on it all day. I wouldn't even have to open my mouth. Maybe thats why I can become lazy. I think if I do that, I wouldn't even be able to say anything because it would feel so awkward. "Chatting" would totally affect modernday communication, it is not so very professional and but why learn in school and not use that great knowledge to speak things out loudly. I think this is one of the biggest issue throughout the book feed because it just make them look dumb. For example at the party that Titus and his friends attended, no one speaks but they seem like they were having lots of fun because they were either watching the OH!WOW!THING or chatting with eachother, compare to today party, every person is being loud.
